@chazzyOct 05.2006 — I would recommend getting the latest of each of these, with windows installers.

    @chazzyOct 05.2006 — then i guess i miss where the confusion is as all of the links are very clearly marked.

    If you go to mysql's download page you have

    http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html

    Under Windows you have options of essentials, with installer and without. With installer is the second one and it is what I am recommending for you. I do not know if you use x64 or not, if so you need to use that one.

    For PHP, unless you have a compiler (which based on your tone, you don't) you want the Windows Binaries, again.

    http://www.php.net/downloads.php

    From this you want the 5.1.6 zip packages, first link.

    For Apache, go to the downloads link on the left of the page that says "Download!"

    http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi

    What you want is the Win32 Binary (MSI Installer). It should be the last link in the section "Apache HTTP Server 2.2.3 is the best available version"

    Please note, I cannot give out direct links to the downloads as all of these sites use mirrors that typically detect which is your best source.

    @NogDogOct 05.2006 — I'd recommend not getting the latest version of Apache, as I have seen reports of problems with PHP5 working with Apache 2.2, so I'd stick with Apache 2.0. There are a number of all-in-one installation packages you might want to look at, such as XAMPP, or check out this list of various "AMP" packages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMP_Packages .

    @ZnupiOct 06.2006 — I'd recommend Apache2Triad ... that's what I use and it works great ?
