@the_treeOct 04.2006 — Ugh, why would you want to do this? Anyways, it's mostly just a question of introducting a STYLE element wherever you can and filling it with as much CSS as you please (oh, the hash character wont work, that's quite a bugger really).

I did this once, just to see that I could, if it would have taken any research, I just wouldn't have bothered. I much prefer the incredibly boring default to the butchered messes that happen when anyone gets ideas about having thier own "design".

@Tweak4Oct 05.2006 — Agreed...

The vast majority of myspace profiles are so packed full of crap, they're difficult to read.

As a word of advice, stick to simplicity - its a web site like any other, so common design groundrules still apply.

And generally speaking, htmlgoodies is a steaming pile of... bad stuff. A good portion of the code I've seen coming from their "experts" has just been flat-out wrong.

Oh, and google for MySpace Layouts - it should return more information than you could need.

@KDLAOct 05.2006 — Just to add - MySpace layout is crammed with nested tables, each table, row, and cell having its own styling. You'll have to override a lot of these settings to make anything happen. Could cause you to create thousands of lines of code.

Yeah, I signed up to see if there is anyone on here who could help me out with designing my own layout.. I already have a pretty good understanding of html; style notsomuch. I want to customize my thing and I don't want to use the adfilled cluttered "free" layouts. I just need a couple of pointers for the placement and colours of my interests, blogs, about me etc...

Anyone who could be of any help with some basics either reply or send me an IM or E-Mail and I would greatly appreciate your help
