Font-Family = Bad???

When I validated my CSS by using [URL=http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator-uri.html]W3C CSS Validator[/URL], it gave me this:

Line : 7 font-family: You are encouraged to offer a generic family as a last alternative

[/QUOTE]

Is it bad to use font-family???
