apply css programatically

I have css that specifies background color. OnMouseOver changes bgcolor.

Is there a way to reapply the css to put color back to what is defined in css?

@KravvitzSep 24.2006 — Why use JavaScript when you can use :hover?

IE(4 through 6)/Win only natively support :hover on <a> elements.

Three ways to simulate :hover in IE5-6/Win:
