Container div background too large

I can’t for the life of me figure out the issue I’m having. I have a main page and a sub page, while the sub page works (container expands and contracts in height to corrosponding amt of content), the container on the main page seems to have an extra large area left over, thus causing the footer to be way at the bottom of the page (lots of scrolling on smaller moniters). Can anybody peek at the code and see what might be the problem? I’m sure it’s something very simple but I’ve banged my head too long today, and can’t see the forest for the trees. Thanks!!!

http://biology.wright.edu/newsite/department/index.html — SUB page (notice by cicking on faculty or staff tab the height in the content area fits correctly).

Thanks everyone!!!

@HellusiusSep 21.2006 — not sure, I checked allot but the only possible thing I can notice is that you could try and add the footer to the mainpage as well and see if that resolves something
