Click-To-Expand Menu addition

Hey guys, I searched through topics on this script but couldn’t find one that described what I want to do. The script is working fine, but I wanted to alter it a little to fit my needs. Here’s the click to expand script if ya’ll don’t already know what it is….
This is an excellent script and thanks so much to Mr. Harrison for programming it!

When I click the menu, I want it to hide the previously opened branches of the menu. I tried figuring out how to do this on my own, but had no luck since I’m a Perl/C++ programmer and Javascript gives me a headache =) I’m still trying to figure out exactly how the script works with my limited knowledge on the language…

I tried re-writing the showhide function of the script, tried altering the writeCookie function to “fool” the program into reading the cookie and seeing no open branches, and I tried breaking apart the Initiate function into separate functions to see if I could find where the actual displaying of the menu happens before the onclick event.

I’ve had no luck with it, any ideas guys?
