reformat an array

Hi,

Let say I have an array A, having contents like:
A[0] = APPLE
A[1] = APPLE
A[2] = BANANA
A[3] = PEAR
A[4] = PEAR
A[5] = PEAR
A[6]= PEACH

I want don’t want to have repeating contents in the array, such that the resultant array is like:
A[0] = APPLE
A[1] = BANANA
A[2] = PEAR
A[3] = PEACH

So, what should be the PHP code like? ?

Thank you
