I created a form using javascript and set the name attribute. When i refer to that form using getElementsByName, it doesn’t work. It can only refer with getElementsByTagName. Any idea why?

var uplform = document.createElement(“form”);
uplform.setAttribute(“action”,”index.php”);
uplform.setAttribute(“method”,”post”);
uplform.setAttribute(“name”,”uplform”);
uplform.setAttribute(“enctype”,”multipart/form-data”);

@JMRKERSep 13.2006 — What's the problem? Just use the one that works! ?

More on a serious note, I think the 'setAttribute' is creating a individual 'tag' element and not a multiple element

(due to getElementsByName)

Perhaps you can 'setAttribute' to an 'id' and use the getElementById function instead to test this theory.

@homer_j_simpsonauthorSep 13.2006 — That form should work with getElementsByName also, cuz i already assigned name attribute. ?
