how to apply rollover to random image generator JS instance?

I have a random image generator js in an HTML page. The random image script is in an external .js file. I would like also to have a rollover/swap applied when someone mouses over the area where the js random image instance is. I already have a rollover script within the HTML head, so it’s just a matter of calling the function in the right spot. Does it go on a link around the random image script tag? Does it go within the random image .js file? Does anyone know how to do this?

I’ve been messing with the HTML and with the .js for awhile with no real results… I’m pretty savvy about understanding and altering existing code, but I won’t claim to be a JS whiz.

THanks in advance.
