Framed Document opening new window

I have developed a random number generator in JS. However, I can’t seem to remember how to open a new window with the output of my JS.

I have a “main. htm” program to create two subframes: one for accepting user input and the other for displaying the pure output.

I need to take the user input from my “info.htm” frame and dump the output into my “data.htm” frame.

Could someone show me how to do that?

Jeff

@CrazyMerlinSep 04.2006 — this should work...I have assumed simple object names...

<i>
</i>function setValue()
{
frame2.contentWindow.document.getElementById('response').value = frame1.contentWindow.document.getElementById('user_input').value;
}

not the cleanest way, but it should work fine.
