Any Acrobat Experts in Da House?

I am looking to populate two text boxes in a PDF with the value of two javascript variables in the opening document. Anyone done anything similar? I tried placing this function into the document’s javascripts:

function prePopulate()
{
if (isNumber(window.opener.farmPortion)) {
document.getElementById(“f1_7(0)”).value = window.opener.farmPortion }
}

That didn’t do anything. Likewise, I tried a custom calculation script of:

event.value = window.opener.varName

That didn’t work either. Any thoughts?
