Vertical Hierchial Menu questions

I want to use a vertical hierchial menu within tables to present intormation from users of my message board in a way so that readers dont have to pour through loas of information to get to what they are wanting to read. Can someone point me in a good direction to look for the script I need for such a thing? Or does someone maybe know a script that would work well?

Here is the order I plan to present the information:
—User (who is presenting information)—
——Type of information——
———Title of information———
————Information————

So all in all it is much like a menu intil you get to the final information. I want it to hide sub information in a popin and popout fashin until user clicks on each particular “menu” item.
