Footer Images not centering

I have created a footer on my page the includes linked logo images using display:inline. This neatly displays the images horizontally in my footer, but it does not center the images. My question is how do you center a horizontal list. Attached is a zip file with my html code, css code and images.

I only need it to work in Internet Explorer and I am viewing the page in 1280 x 1024 screen resolution since this will be the maximum users will view the page. Most will probably use 1024 x 768 but my my client is viewing the file in 1280 x 1024 and it is more noticeable that the images are not centered.

I have searched the site and did not find anything that worked for my situation. Any help is appreciated.

@SuzanneBAug 07.2006 — I must admit that I get very confused with css at times, as to just exactly what is required to center various things. In fact, I have a similar question to this myself that is currently on the board.

One thing I do know is that it margin:0 auto; does nto work, often text-align:center will! ha ha! And it does in your case. Add #logos {text-align:center; } and it will align everything to the center of the DIV.

@gwmyersauthorAug 07.2006 — Thanks SuzanneB. I just didn't think of using text-align:center since I wasn't dealing with text but it works. Now I just need to fix the padding between the images.

@gwmyersauthorAug 07.2006 — Well I thought it worked, but actually it cented in my web editor and not in the browser. I should have checked first before replying. I guess I was so excited that there was a quick fix and I jumped the gun.

Attached is a screen print of what I am seeing.
