Can I dynamically write to the .htaccess file? I want to do a ModRewrite on dynamic pages, or iterate through the database in the .htaccess file to use the data from a database?

@aaronbdavisAug 03.2006 — Not really sure what you are getting at, but I suppose that .htaccess is a file just like any other, so you should be able to read from it and write to it from PHP

@bokehAug 03.2006 — That depends on permissions. If PHP runs as "nobody" or "www" or similar the directory would need 0777 permission (not a good thing).
