php with sql query kills tomcat

i have a php5 code with mysql command in it (mysql version 5). i use tomcat 4 as the web server. the problem is that when i run the page (with mysql_query or other mysql_ in it) , the tomcat stopped/terminated. does anyone know why?
Does anyone know the solution for this?

i am still new using tomcat….pls help me…thx…

You can install PHP4 though,

or install another webserver (e.g.: Apache HTTP or IIS)

the reason i use PHP 5 is because i need to run some java servlet in the tomcat webserver. i have seen some website teaching people how to do this(with PHP5servlet.dll) and i have managed to run my php5 code in tomcat server....but i am now stuck with the mysql query stuff...sad~~

i wouldnt mind to use PHP 4 if i can get it to work in tomcat webserver.....therefore i would be grateful if someone can show me how to run PHP4 in tomcat server.........

Download PHP (this tutorial uses PHP 4.3.5)

Download Tomcat (this tutorial uses Tomcat 5.0.19)

Define $JAVA_HOME for your JDK installation

Define $TOMCAT_HOME for your Tomcat installation

Define $PHP_HOME for your PHP installation
