A little info needed on mailto…

Hi guys,

Is there any way to position to the text-carrot in the body field of a new message window, after using the mailto function from a button? Even more fantastical(!), is there any way to specify what position within the body it appears (if using preset text in the body)?

I’m extremely new to javascript, so I apologise for any novice terminology!

Thanks,

Tom

@1andywJul 30.2006 — Tom,

The 'mailto' is simply an html function, not javascript.

I saved the following instructions from a 'Bravenet.com' newsletter.

Let's say you're offering a free brochure. You can code the subject as "Free_Brochure" and the Body Message as "Please send me your brochure."

We code the mailto this way:

<a href="mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Brochure&Body=Please send me your brochure.">ADDRESS</A>

</quote>

Good luck,

Andy
