Im knew to PHP and server side coding, do you think it would be better to just learn PHP so I can write my own scripts or use a CMS like Mambo? I’ve seen alot of nice sites done with Mambo but I sorta feel like I’d be cheating my way out of it. Tell me what you think.
@cridleyJul 19.2006 — #If you can already code in something else, then might as well learn php, as not difficult. If knew to coding then learn it anyway as it's an easyish way to get into programming. Plus it's more fun. In my opinion. And you're going to want to tweak mambo anyway.
@The_Little_GuyJul 19.2006 — #If you are/will be programing for a living, then you should learn as many scripting languages as possible, because that makes a company look higher upon you than someone with less knowledge of as many scripting languages.
PHP is a very easy language to learn, so I do recommend it to you.
