Web development on Linux

Does anyone do thier web development in the Linux environment?

If so, what programs do you use for code editing, FTP, etc?

@ray326Jul 18.2006 — My favorite Windows app is HTML-kit and the nearest thing I've found to that is Quanta-Plus on Linux. If you'd rather work in a more traditional programmer's editor mode then I'd recommend you look at jEdit and its many plugins and extensions.

@drhowarddrfineJul 19.2006 — I don't use Linux but do use FreeBSD. I think you can still find nEdit. jedit is good. And another with a crazy name but I forgot it right now. But it's like all coding I do, notepad and Firefox and I'm happy.

@lightnbauthorJul 26.2006 — I'm trying both Bluefish amd Quanta Plus. Neither seem to have any FTP functionality like dreamweaver does though. What Do I have to do to see a list of files on my server, and pull them down into my editor?
