@kiwibritJul 16.2006 — #When I publish my entire site Firefox and Netscape throw in this "" whatever it is before the html tag". What's that about?
It only does this on this page.
Why is this, and better how do I fix this
Like Firefox, the w3c validator sees it in your source code. But I don't see it in your source code in IE. Are you generating your DOCTYPE dynamically?
@drhowarddrfineJul 17.2006 — #It's the Byte Order Mark from utf-8. I have to run but look to see how you are saving your page, unicode or ansi?, and what your charset is in your code. Try changing it to utf-8 (we should all do that anyway). Or google for BOM.
@cartoonsmartauthorJul 17.2006 — #It's the BOM indeed, someone mentioned it on another forum. It's because I hadn't saved that particular page in ASCII or ANSI.
