IE "Fixed" Positioning

Is there any way in IE to emulate “fixed” positioning so that an element won’t scroll with the viewport?

(Pretty sad that you have to emulate a piece of a web standard).

The simplest would be to use Javascript to emulate the behavior. Depending on what you want to do, you could emulate the behavior with some clever use of absolute positioning and display:overflow, but that is a bit more limited in what it can do.
