Can Js do this

Hi…

I would like to know if JS can do this :

Scenario A:

A user upload file from server A(testing server) to server B(life server).The upload scripts PHP,is it possible to use javascript to directly point to one directory i mean to the folder where the file is and strict the user from browsing other folder ?

If is possible…please give me some hints on how to do it..

@hyperliskJul 07.2006 — No, javascript is just client side scripting, so it can't do anything with the server... unless you use AJAX and have it call a PHP page. That PHP page could then check the rights of the user and determine if the area that they are in is forbidden or not. Alos, I think you could use .htaccess, but I am not familiar with it...
