Whats IE6 upto li?

Hi guys I have an HTML issure

I am doing a search results page and i thought it would be nice to list the resuts in an ordered list <ol>

coded it to XHTML specs and loaded it into Firefox & opera then i tried it in IE and the numbers won’t display

a demo of this problem is here, please note that cos it is outside its directory the CSS, links & JS dosn’t work

this the name of the css file? When I paste "other/lay.css" at the end of your URL, I get a "page not found error". Same for the javascript. Check your paths and make sure that the external style (and other links) are correct.

But I do see what you mean. The numbered OL works in Fx, and not in IE. I have a suspicion why, but need to view the external CSS first.

@nshiellauthorJun 30.2006 — thanx for having a look as i said before the page is outside it's normal directory so CSS files can't be loaded. I makes no diffrence

@VaritekJun 30.2006 — try giving the <ol> and <li> a CSS width then do a google for haslayout (all one word) and you will see why.
