form value total

I’ve created 18 list forms (1 selection drop list) in Dreamweaver and filled the value option for each with a number. I’m wanting to add those numbers and automatically display the total on a seperate frame i’ve created to the left of the forms. I’d like the value totaled with the default selections to be displayed as well. Then have a submit button below the total. Simple?

alert('Total: '+total);

Alter alert to save total where you need it.
