editing frame invoking onload

I want to edit the frame which invoked the onload event.I tried accessing it using

[FONT=Arial Black]e.srcElement.document[/FONT]
but the document object pointed to something else,so I wrote a function which tries to get the frame object by scanning thru the frames array in every level and trying to get frames[index] comparing the window.frames[i].frames[j]…frames[index].id == e.srcElement.id

it worked however now i have a frame without ny id.Somebody help.
