How to change picture dynamically using Java script or css

Hi,
I need to write a javascrip which will dynamacilly change the picture. say for example i have 3 picture in my folder pic1.jpg, pic2.jpg and pic3.jpg. How will i change the change these pictures after every 4 seconds
