I got a question . A couple of months ago a designed a webpage, but I am having troubles with search engines, especially google. The website is in 5 languages based on framesets. Regrettably, when I type the “key words” I don’t even see the results for 10 or more pages.

Can anybody help me crack this one out?

So what your for you I would suggest making a nice non-framed front page that would change to the framed version once the language is selected. Where on this page mention the words you want to be scored on in as many ways as possible. It's also not a bad idea, since I didn't notice the language option right away.

@wotauthorJun 11.2003 — Thanks for your insight. One more question. Our adminstrator is experimenting with some new server site software which is blocking pop outs and entry to "explicit" type of webpages. Would such a software hidered in any way the search engine spiders???

He is using some home made software which is very unstable at times. You get on occasion messages like this when you try to enter sites using ASP etc.

Also on the google thing... it does have a very limited use for meta keywords, but nothing near what SE's of old used them for.

And if a page is down when a search engine is spidering that can be bad news as far as staying listed.

I think they've modified that so it isn't so important any more - I read it in a .net magazine recently

Apparently making the content as near to the top of the code as possible is good.
