HTML form mail (Subject)

Hi all,
I have made an HTML form wich sends a mail to my emailadress.
But if i click on submit it redirects me to my Hotmail page…
Thats not so bad, but I dont want the people too be able to edit the text after they clicked submit and its easier for the visitors when they dont need to send it via Hotmail…
And I have another question:
I was browsing on the internet for how to change the subject, because I want the visitors to be able to type in their subject.
I saw on a site how to fill in the subject, with:
‘mailto:[email protected]?subject=thesubjectname’
but my second question is, how to let the visitors change the ‘?subject=’?

@nataliemacJun 01.2006 — Sounds like there's something funky going on with your code. Are you using a pre-made script? You might have put the hotmail address in as the redirect page. You should be able to specify a different redirect page, for example, a page that says, "Your information has been submitted" or something like that.

Also, if you'd like your users to be able to specify the subject line of the email, add a field for it to your form.

@felgallJun 01.2006 — mailto only works with forms in some browsers and always requires an email program to be linked to the web browser which many people (eg those using internet cafes) don't have. To get a form to send an email you use a server side form2mail script. If you can't host server side scripts on your site then get a third party hosted script such as the one at Bravenet.
