index in a folder won’t show up on my page

I’m using coffeecup html and using a template that all files are within 1 folder. I’ve uploaded to my site, but can’t get the page to open because the INDEX.html page is in the folder. If I put the index outside the folder, nothing comes up. ?
How can I fix this? Is there an easy remedy? I’ve tried & tried, but nada. 😡
Any Suggestions? Thanks
