email on my website

Great site you’ve got here. And I hope I’m posting this in the correct forum. By the looks of it, I am.
I just opened up a website, I’m totally new at it, and want to know how I can receive & send email from it. I’m an American, but currently working overseas, and most of the info is NOT in English. I searched google, but didn’t have too much luck.

@PeOfEoJun 11.2003 — to do an email link use EMAIL ME FOOL! But if you dare to be daring you can use a form to do this. There are many ways to go about doing that though.

@DirkauthorJun 11.2003 — Well I tried emailing from my yahoo to my site, but it came back as undeliverable.

Do I need to put a folder on my server for email?

Or does my server need to open an email for me?

Thanks again... :rolleyes:

Like I said....totally new at this.

@pyroJun 11.2003 — Sounds like you are trying to receive mail at your domain? If so, talk to your server administrator about it....

@DirkauthorJun 11.2003 — Oh I see. I thought that's how it works.

IE: www.abc.com. On that site it says their email is . So don't they receive their email at the domain?

@AdamBrillJun 11.2003 — That would be his address. He would receive the e-mail from a different program, such as Outlook Express. In order to recieve the e-mail on the actual web site, you would have to have web-mail set up. I think web-mail is what you are looking for...

@PeOfEoJun 11.2003 — they will only recieve email at a domain if they have an email server of cource like I guess a pop3, can you configure an smtp to recieve email? Or is smtp just for outgoing mail?

Like Pyro said, contact your system administrator and you can probably get something set up for you.

@DirkauthorJun 11.2003 — Thanks for your input. I understand. Like I said, I'm in a non speaking English country, and it's difficult to understand things sometimes.
