Form processing in HTML mail

Hi!
I made an app which sends a user a mail in HTML format, and this mail has a form that has to be filled.
So i have an action in the form which is a complete URL where my script for obtaining the POST data is, but when i submit the form it doesn’t do nothing.
I have tested this on Outlook 2003 email client and the submit of the form isn’t doing anything; but in Mozilla Thunderbird the form does submit.
It is any problem in the way Outlooks manage javascript and forms? or i have something wrong in my method?
I have used a submit button, a link button that calls a javascript function that submits de form, and a javascript with a window.location for opening a link with javascript; none of the above methods have worked in Outlook.

Thanks!

@PadonakMay 31.2006 — i cant understand what are you talking about.. is that form an online form which uses get or post methods as the user submits the form or it is calling the user's email client which sends the content somewhere? an online form normally uses a cgi-script or php-script to hide your email address and/or execute some other operations with the posted content.

@JuanoauthorJun 01.2006 — I'm not very good at explaining, so i'll try again.

The form is inside an html email that is sent to the users.

The user opens the mail, and the mail has a form, and that form doesn't perform the action, at least when the user hast Outlook as email client, or when is a link with javascript, it quickly opens and closes a browser window, but it does nothing.

Thanks

@PadonakJun 01.2006 — whether the html page is inside email letter or it is in the user's browser you should better use a server-side script to solve the problem. in this case it will absolutely no matter what email client has a user because this html-form will act independently. plus nobody will know what is the real email address which is accepting their data and this way you can protect your email address from spam etc. try this cgi-script http://www.fisioterapiautebo.com/padonak/stat/mailform_cgi_script.rar (3.15Kb) for that purpose. read comments inside the script code and set all the variables as it is recommended. i'm using this script myself.

I want to put this form on a website I am creating. I read the posts, I dont get how to add this feature. I am using frontpage to make my website. Can someone plz dumb this down for me, or provide a link where it is put in simpler terms. Thank you!
