layers problem on PC in IE

Hey All,
Up sh!ts creek without a paddle at the moment. I’ve built a photography website and am having layer problems. The site works on all browsers on Macs, but not on explorer on PCs.

When the user rolls over a thumbnail a smaller image appears to the right in 1 layer. When the user clicks the thumbnail a larger image is meant to appear to the right of the screen in another layer. On PC in IE when clicked nothing happens. I’ve played around and preloaded images for tnail 1,2,3 and it then works. But this is not practical coz it would take forever to preload all images.

If any one could help I would greatly appreciate it!!!

@phpnoviceMay 23.2006 — When I step through it one line at a time with my script debugger in IE, the large image displays just fine. So, besides the fact that those MM functions are pretty outdated and badly written, all I can suggest is that you

[1] change your [b]href[/b]s to a value of "[B]javascript:void(0)[/B]",

[2] change the id of your DIV from "image" to something like "lgImage" (just to get away from a name that could even be confusing to the browser), and

[3] make sure that all of your event handlers actualy return a [b]true[/b] value to their associated event.
