How to make my web a homepage when click a link.

Dear WebDeveloper.com members,

A pleasant day to everyone! I hope everyone is in good health today.

Is there a code (JavaScript) that can make my web a homepage to other’s browser. Example when they click on the link in my webapage:

[U][COLOR=Blue]Click me to make [B]mypage.com[/B] your default homepage[/COLOR][/U].

(Of course this is their decision if they will click the link…I just want to add some features to my web)…

This link will in turn make changes to their default homepage. I hope the codes will be something like “universal,” that is, it will work on different web browsers, but if not, I guess IE and Netscape compatibility (can I mention Mozilla Firefox too? hehehe ? ) will do…

@felgallMay 18.2006 — That code will produce a non-functioning link in Opera because it teszts document.all instead of the IE specific function that it is trying to use.

Good day Sir Stephen; from [B]Mr. LeeU[/B] given code, and to your knowledge regarding Opera webbrowser...can I add additional codes so that if just in case my client uses Opera WebBrowser, my "make my Home page" still works? And I just wonder, is there a website where I could know what percent of all web surfers uses IE, Netscape, Mozilla FireFox, Opera etc? Well, just an additonal information for me...

And from your opinions Sir, what webbrowser/s should I give more "concentration" with regards to compatibility to my webpage I'm making...or should I take ALL into consideration? (I guess that's impossible, right?)
