Detect program

I know there is code to find out what browser a person is using when they come to your site. Is there code to see if there is a program on someones system ?. I have a little flash on my site and would like to see before hand if they have it or not. If not I have alternate code for them.

You can't detect a program.

Not sure if there is anything specifically for flash...

Usually there is just the message

"If you dont see the graphic above, click here for an HTML version"

@scriptkidJun 05.2003 — Come to think of it there is a way with javascript i believe to detect if the flash plugin is installed. Im about 80% sure on this...ill do some research.
