How to make a tab?

Just like the title
how to make a tab (tab button)
i hope u guys understand what i meant..
i just want to make some space such as ” ” like that.. im confuse using <td>
so.. is there anyway we can use the tab button?

@NogDogMay 03.2006 — Note that a tab character within most HTML output will be treated the same as a space character, and that in such cases multiple white-space characters are collapsed into a single space. In this case you will be better served by using CSS to set margins and/or padding to get the desired result.
