Help – Hiding The Tool Bars in I.E.

Hi.

Does anyone know how to code a page so that when one goes to a particular url the tool bars are dissapear in an Internet Explorer window?

Note: I only want to display to Title Bar and the Status Bar.

I wish to hide the Standard buttons and the address bar without having to manually go to view and uncheck these items.

Any help in coding this would be appreciated.

Side question: Can I do this simply by calling a specific url or do I need to pop a new window to be able to do this?

@felgallMay 02.2006 — The only way to do it is via the third parameter you pass to a window.open call to open the new window where you don't want them displayed. Once a browser window is open a web page has no access to the toolbar etc.

Thank you for the reply. Sorry for the long delay in response. I am working with popping a window, but in doing so I need a way to auto close the origianl underpage. I am running into difficulties in doing this. I have started a new forum on this subject here:

@felgallMay 15.2006 — You can't close a browser window that you didn't open in the first place.
