Refresh btn resends post data :(

I’m making an admin site from which the contents of a site can be entered.
I have a form and a submit button.
As I don’t want the submit button to redirect to another page but the same i have the following problem:
When the user hits the refresh button of the browser the post data is entered in the MySQL database again as many times as the button is hit.
I’m looking for a sollution for this and also I cannot check for double entries in the database because of the kind of the input data. So any other ideas would come great.

Thanks in advance
Eva
