First time making db editor

I’m trying to build a web-based database editor for a client. I need the ability to add, edit, and delete records. Does anyone know where I can find a template of a “phpMyAdmin-like” interface for editing entries in a database? I do not need options for editing the DB structure, only the data itself. I have searched around, and have found lots of third party software. Many of them don’t dispaly their code, and not to mention, I’m not really looking to buy something. I was hoping to find something to disect and try to make work with my project. I have started a form which for now just displays the information in the DB but would like to learn how to add editing capabilities.

If anybody has any suggestions or tips to offer, that would be a big help. Thanks!

@chazzyApr 24.2006 — why not just give them phpMyAdmin then? only grant the users select, insert, update, delete, no alter.

@SpikeWebauthorApr 24.2006 — I suppose I could do that. Do you know if there's any way of customizing the look of the interface? Also, I was looking around and even scanned the phpMyAdmin FAQs and couldn't find where you set the permissions, do you know where it is?

@SheldonApr 24.2006 — You can create themes for PHPMYADMIN But it would be easy enough to write using a few simple SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE & DELETE statements
