find current page?

hey, im wondering, how can i use php to find where you currently are on this site. for example you go to index and click on showme.php, i want it to display something like: you are on page: http://www.host.com/showme.php ? how would i do this without having to individually say this on each page?

printf("<p>You are on page http://%s%s.</p>n",
$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'],
$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']);

@bokehApr 22.2006 — I would be cautious using $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] because it does not reliably reflect the host name, as it relies on server configuration for its output. I would recommend $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']
