confirmation box?

I did some research on confirming with users when adding a new record, editing or removing existing record. It is mostly recommanded to have a “confirmation.php” page to perform this task.

However, I’d like to have a simple pop-up confirmation box, can anyone help please, I am quite new to PHP.
