I have a page consisting of 2 elements one about the other, the top is 10px high, and the bottom needs to fill up the rest of the page, is there a way of defining in CSS the 2nd element to have a height of (100%-10)?

@pyroMay 29.2003 — Try this, for your bottom element:

height: 100%;

margin-top: 10px;

@anarchistauthorMay 29.2003 — thanks, never thought of puttting a deliberate gap in the top of the element then positioning it so the first one's displayed over the top margin of the lower one

only took about 10 seconds to realise thats what you meant too ?
