100mbps line – how many users?

without actually testing the connection, how i determine how much traffic it can take? not taking into consideration if the server can take the load

example:
how many users could it take at the same time? if the line is 100mbps and the page is 100kb

any ideas? is it just dividing the page size by the connection speed? or is there a different way?

@KeveyApr 05.2006 — Here's an article I have read and enjoyed. Bottom line depends on how your network is configured, what services you'll offer, and how many people will be there at one time. You can use basic math to figure number of people per second that would be able to download your file, but you will also incur an overhead charge for each packet, frame or cell you transmit.
