Background images in IE Mac

Has anyone else experienced this problem:

background images in Mac IE get cut off…?

I tried putting the background image on body, table, td – no use. It’s still getting cut off in the most unexpected place…

My layout:

<body style=”background:…;”>

<table>
<tr>
<td>
<table>
Some content
<table>

<!– THIS IS WHERE THE BACKGROUND IMAGE DISSAPEARS –>

<table>
More Content
</table>
<td>
</tr>
</table>
</body>

And it is not the background on td of nested table that’s killing it (beause you can still see the backgorund color on the body.
and this ONLY happens in IE Mac

Any thoughts?

  • 1. Internet Explorer on Mac OS is no longer supported by Microsoft and hasn't seen a significant update since Mac OSX first came out. Why do you insist on supporting a browser that few people use when they should be using Safari?


    • 2) We can't help you at all without the full HTML and CSS of the offending page.

    On a side note, I've often found IE-Mac much better to design for than IE-Win, but IE-Mac has some major irrepairable bugs.
