whats wrong in the function

Hi,

Can any body tell me that what’s wrong in the following function. This function is to check that if element is visible or not.

function isElementvisible(ElimentID)
{
if (document.getElementById(ElementID).style.visibility== ‘visible’)
return true;
else
return false;
}

The element must have visibility set as inline style.

If a parent element's visibility is hidden or display is none, then a false positive will be returned.
