Hi, I’m new to this, and would appreciate if someone could help!

A friend of mine is doing my website for me.
I need to be able to take credit cards and had decided not to go with Paypal. Someone suggested 2CheckOut, but my friend claims it is very difficult to setup.

Does anyone have any experience with 2CheckOut? Or is he pulling my leg?
If 2CheckOut is really difficult to set up, can you recommend an alternative?
