I know this will be a stupidly easy fix but i’m on the verge of throwing my comp out to find it! Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
@toicontienMar 27.2006 — #Better yet, is this HTML page being served over a network from a Web server? It might be sending the wrong content-type with the file. In Firefox, right-click on the page and select "Page Info." Look at the content-type. It should be text/html, not text/plain.
Firefox is intelligent enough to know that text/plain is plain text, and realize that the file extension isn't what determines the file type ?
@toicontienMar 28.2006 — #If you can't control the Web server, you'll have to contact the server admin or your Web hosting company and have them change it. All .html and .htm files should be served as text/html. If they give you a hard time, refer them to this page: HTML 4 Conformance Requirements and Recommendations: 4.3 - The text/html Content Type.
If they still won't change it, tell them that non-IE browsers display files according to content type, not file extension. If they still refuse to work with you, find another web host because they're morons.
