Don't know exactly what you mean, but do you want to capture individual frames of a movie?
For creating short, simple animations, GIF's are good (If you have Paint Shop Pro, you can use Animation Shop to create GIF's.). For more complex, longer movies, try Windows Movie Maker (comes with XP).
