Simpler way to both data-attribute AND data to a element?

This way I can add both attribute and data to a table cell:

“`
r1 = row.insertCell(0);
r1.setAttribute(“data-key”, “user_id”);
r1.innerHTML = item.user_id;

r2 = row.insertCell(1);
r2.setAttribute(“data-key”, “user_name”);
r2.innerHTML = item.user_name;
“`

Is there a simpler way to do this? Like this pseudocode:

`row.insertCell(0).setAttribute(“data-key”,”user_id”)+innerHTML(item.user_id)`
