Three DropDown Menus

I’ve got a page where I’m showing data. At the table I have 3 drop down menus in the form of a HTML Select objects.

I have them in a row, left to write in a container. They all work independently, when someone changes a selection I send off the selection as a fetch method to update my data based on this selection. That’s all fine.

My issue or challenge is.

My SELECT’s are selectA, selectB and selectC. Both A and B work with C but not together. So a user could select someone from B and C and update the data. But they can’t select A and B.

My question is how can I show a relationship between A/B and C but also allow C to be it’s own selection?

Do I understand this correctly: A value can be selected either by A or by B. If a value is selected in A, B has to be empty or vice versa?
