I am getting CSRF Token Mismatch when using AJAX Post request with Laravel

I’m trying to do a post request from my frontend using AJAX, but I keep getting the error that the CSRF token is missing. How can I get the CSRF token?

@JacobBarkerAug 12.2022 — You can add the token in a meta tag of your app's base blade template: and then you can query that element and use the value from the content attribute, example in jquery:

$.ajaxSetup({
headers: {
'X-CSRF-TOKEN': $('meta[name="csrf-token"]').attr('content')
}
});

Success!
