Paint Shop Pro has steadily evolved from a program that was simply easier to use than MS Paint to a full-blown, powerful graphics package in its own right. Analogous to this is the way its vendor/developer, JASC Software Inc., has evolved from distributing it as freeware and shareware to what's now become an international network of associates in over 100 countries who have put Paint Shop Pro in the hands of an estimated 12 million people.

  • 486 or faster processor (Pentium with MMX recommended)
  • 12 MB of RAM (32 MB recommended)
  • 10 MB available hard-disk space for installation (40 MB free recommended)
  • 800x600, 256 colors on screen (1024x768, 24-bit color recommended)
